Tire pressure for stock tires?

What is the best tire pressure to put in the stock size tires(215/55/16)??

32 for the front/ 28 for the rear. I wonder why it's required to have different pressure. Anyone know?

More weight on the front (that's where the engine is), hence the need for higher tire pressure than the rear.
