Abs Warning Light!?!?!?!

ABS
Let me guess, when your car was inspected, the front wheels were moving and the rears were stationary?? Your ABS got 'confused.' Turn off the car and start it up again. ABS will do its routine check and the light should go away this time.

Same happened here. I didn't even get out of inspection when I noticed it, so I asked the guys what the hell went wrong? They told me why it was lit. Now you'd think that perhaps when they inspect vehicles and throw a warning light they just might take a sec. to explain perhaps why that happened?????

Re: if it ever goes on again...
I think you're talking about the airbag warning light . . . . .

ABS warning light reset instructions
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Identify terminal 4 of the Data Link Connector. This connector is found at the right hand edge of the passenger cabin fuse block. The fuse block is located in the lower dashboard, behind a pull-out panel near the driver's left knee. The Data Link Connector has two vertical columns of contacts, with each row having seven contacts.
Terminals 1 - 7 are in the left hand column, with terminal 1 at the top.
Terminal 4 is the fourth from the top.
3) Use a test lead and a bent paper clip to ground terminal 4. This grounding must be done three times in succession within a 12.5 second time span. Each of the three groundings must be longer than one second.
For more information please refer to the Chilton repair manual (page 9-17,18) or the Haynes repair manual (pages 9-3,4). Chilton and Haynes refer to Terminal 4 as Terminal L. The factory service manual designates it as Terminal 4. It is the same terminal.
