For some odd reason, my driver window goes up slower then the passanger window. Anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?

Silicon spray lubricant

The window rides up and down guided by channels at the leading and trailing edges. The trailing edge channel extends to the top of the window travel and the upper part is easy to see. The leading edge channel is shorter and is enclosed within the door.

Lower the window all the way. Spray the window channels with silicone spray lubricant. Use the long red plastic "straw" to deliver the lube to the lower part of the channels which are down inside the doors. Wipe off any overspray which lands on painted surfaces. This should produce an immediate improvement. If it doesn't, you may have a problem with the power window regulator. Servicing that part requires removal of the inside trim panel.

I have the same problem after I had replaced my drivers side window, when my car got broken into. I went to a safelight auto-glass store. And the window they put in doesn't fit well, cause i complained and they Silicon spray lubricanted it, but it didn't help. I also get a oil line in the middle of the window...

Sorry I couldn't help..

Re:

I agree with Daniel. I had same problem and $2 can of Silicon spray lubricant solved the problem.
However, you might have to spary them time to time...

I have a 95 $E and from day one the drivers side has been somewhat slower - 1 or 2 secs max. My car has had tint on/ then removed, on/ then removed again. After the second time I removed the door panels to see if window tint glue was gumming things up. It wasn't that I could see but I lubed the track Daniel spoke of, I also lubed the cable and pulleys. It didn't help at all. My windows all seem to work at the same 'rate' but they are all definitely slower now. AGE is a b!!!!! I will just leave them be until one dies. Hope you have better success.

normal

I think its normal for the drivers window to roll up slightly slower than the passenger window. Mine's been like that as well since the first day it was purchased. I dunno why this happens, perhaps the auto roll down feature on our driver's windows?

I used WD-40

I also have an integra that had the same problem with the driver side window. So I took out the door panel and sprayed WD-40 on it the gears that operated the window. Made it roll up and down faster...but I also noticed that it made the window hazy on hot days. I am not sure if WD-40 is silicone based or not...but just becareful.

WD-40 is not the best choice

WD-40 is petroleum based. I like WD-40 and use it for many purposes but it is not the best choice for this application. WD-40 tends to become gummy after a while.
