The original tires on our '98 GLE need to be replaced soon. Also, the chrome finish on the stock 15" GLE wheels is peeling off badly. Therefore, I was thinking about replacing the whole set with a near-mew set of 16" GLE or SE wheels/tires from a 2000+ Maxima. Can you tell me if the offset and bolt pattern of the 2000+ 16" wheels fit my car?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you!
Thanks for your reply

That was what I expected. Now the question comes, where do I find a set of new or near-new 16" wheels/tires in SoCal? Do you have any idea what price I should expect to pay?

I will start by checking the recycler and AutoTrader.

They will fit. I was actually considering switching out these rims on my car because I like the look of them better.

Some pics of these rims on a '97 SE can be found here: http://www.brianv.net/oldmaximapics.html. (I think that is the right URL)

Try http://www.copartfinder.com for these rims. Search 2000-2001 Maxima.

Good Luck!
