Hardly anyone because it's neither recommended or safe. Plus springs are not that expensive.

Yeah, a "lot of people" cut their springs just like a "lot of people" play Russian Rhoulette. Don't even think about cutting your springs. The car will ride like ****, and it will not react predictably in an emergency maneuver. You're better off leaving them alone, or getting new aftermarket springs and struts. Don't forget the alignment...

Yeah, you're better off not cutting them like everyone else said. However, I am running on cut Eibachs (1 coil from front and back) and I don't have any complaints about them. Sure the ride is alot harsher this way, but it doesn't float around or anything. I did this because I wanted an extremely stiff (harsh is very relative) ride but didn't have the money for coilovers. The car handles like a dream. Several people on this forum have ridden in my car as well as driven it, so you can ask them (Irvine78, BrianV, Skimax and some others). If I was given the choice, I would cut them again.

PS I'm on Koni struts and DO NOT recommend cutting springs on stock or Tok's.

Hahaha, ok, I just read your post again and you said "stock springs". No, don't cut those. Period. You won't be happy with them if you do.

Don't go through the trouble of cutting your stock springs...you can get the best springs ever made for the max for under $120 and if you can afford a car you can afford that. Sprints are cheap, perform very well and drop your max 2". What's the point of cutting stock coils when a better, safer version is avaliable at a cost friendly option. Don't cut stock springs...

Thx guys

Thanks for the all info guys. With your help i'm going with ground control coil overs. I believe they have eibach springs on them already. I'm just trying to decide to go with koni or the kyb agx. From what i read, if I go two inch i should not leave the stock struts.
