ok let me throw in my 2 pennies, the cold air intake is supposed to give you the most power, about $220, but can be loud, the pop charger is like $120 and uses hot air, thus less power, and can be loud at WOT, now if you wanna look the best, though not as well known the weapon-r dragon intake looks sweet, though i have no idea how the power is there

if you want a CAI and also to save money then maybe you should get a warpspeed CAI. they are only around $160 if I remember correctly. I love my jim wolf...

Re: high

Im sure others will disagree but I will say the Dragon Intake from Weapon-R. It looks sweet and I really could felt a gain in performance, it sounds great also. Just my opinion, Take Care

most likely, people will agree that OSCAI (OOglie Stock Cold Air Intake) is the best intake mod both value-wise and performance-wise.

With this mod, you keep your maxima's quiet throttle (if you want a v8 sound, go with a JWT pop charger or Stillen Intake) and your provide your intake with a cold, fresh source of air. Many have claimed that it has improved track times also.

intake...

just remember that place racing does not have the best "service" so if you want one of their CAI order it at least 2 months in advanced!

Maintenance-wise, it is may be the worst. At least one OSCAI user here has reported a whole ton of **** in their cone filter -- at least with the the cold air inlet at the bottom. You might have to clean the thing regularly which would be a real pain...

Hey Mish, which cone filter are you talkin' about? With OSCAI, I used my K&N Drop In Filter.

Yeah, I've heard about the dirt though...it sucks.

To prevent any rodents from crawling up that little hold, I put a mesh screen at the beginning of the hose intake at the bottom.

Hey, my bad (What was I thinkin'?). I mean to say that if your mesh cold air arm is too porous or if the inlet is directly forward facing, you may get a load of crap trapped in your K&N.

I would strongly recomend the CAI. I had the Jim Wolf Intake before, and it was good. The CAI is much better, much more air and i immediatley felt the diffrence. So get the CAI, you can get the PlaceRacing from Cattman.com and you can get the new Cattman CAi which is the same thing as the PlaceRacing. When i'm changing my K&N I'll put teh Jim Wolf Filter at the tip, hopes this helps.

with the PR cai you can have a cold air intake and a hot air intake. what i do is take out my 2nd pipe and hook up my k&n on to the adapter from the MAF. ive ran with both my cai and with the hai. and i ran a lot quicker with the cai. at 3k rpms it starts to pull. i picked up my pr cai from avalon racing for $210 back in feb.

Nabil and Cheston have proved that the cone-style intake (i.e, JWT, Stillen, etc..) have superior top-end gains, while the CAI produces slightly more midrange.

It's also cheaper than the CAI. And far simpler to install.

Hey Brian,

Yea, I knew you had one. I just mentioned Nabil and Cheston cuz they were the first to prove it.
