i got all what i need for the job...the gutter mesh, and some good cutters ....i tried to cut it out and put it over the stock grille but i messed up...is this the way im suppose to do it....any advice will help

 

I took mine off and trimed the mesh to fit my factory grille then used very thin wire to secure it in place. I've done it twice and this seems like the easiest way to do it. Otherwise you will scratch up your bumper pretty bad trying to make it fit.

 

u might also want to consider using those little plastic zip tie things (the kind they use to hold cables together). i used those and made very minute holes and looped them around the back so that it would hold the new one tight.
