A comparison between Cattman and Warpspeed.
These are the facts that I've experienced and my personal opinions.

I am probably one of the few on the forum that has had both of these Y-pipes and can give a true comparison

Later on, I'll have side by side pictures and hopefully dyno info.

great write up! i've been trying to make up my mind as to which brand to buy, but your write up sure cleared things up. as it was said in the other forum, this definitely needs to be a sticky. once again, thank u and great work.

Warpspeed makes a good pipe, don't get me wrong. But it's just not at the level of Cattman. So people have to decide between quality and value.

Are you someone who buys Sony? Or the Radio Shack brand? They both do the same thing, but one's better quality than the other.
*Note: the difference of the Y-pipes are this extreme, it's just an example.*

i totally agree with what you are saying. its just that no one (to my knowledge) has done a comparison such as yours, and i came to the conclusion that i'd rather pay a little more for something better than get something which may cause problems in the future. yes its probably going to take me another week of work to get the cattman, but if its well worth it, why not!?

Yup, those comparisons are exactly what I got from Warpspeed. I should've ordered the Cattman piece. I might end up selling my WSP to get the Cattman.

Great writeup!

Cattman must have dissed me. No instructions. No gasket. No neatly packaged documents. Just the pipe and a sheet of who to call for problems/warrantee. It was bubble-wrapped and box-stuffed though but UPS still managed to damage the outside somewhat.

Also, the Meineke guys said the fitment was not great and that they had to do a little "sumn sumn" to it to get it to fit. Can't say it was the pipe since the paranoid **** in me thinks that maybe they just want a little more labor time put on the clock (took 'em just over 2 hrs). I am wondering though why some say Cattman pipes just bolt on perfect and a few others report that it needed some adjustments to fit.

***edited: should have said NOT this extreme.
Forgot one word.

Dyno runs are a go! Saturday morning. Two runs with each Y-pipe.
