I took everybodys advice and bought part number 32103-01A01. It's supposed to be a magnetic transmission drain plug but its much to big for the hole. The plug that I took out was small and looked nothing like the one I bought. It was a genuine nissan part too. What happened here. Did someone post the wrong part number for that tranny drain plug.

Maybe you purchased it for the wrong model year Maxima. You should get the dealer to verify the part number and identity, so they can sell you the correct part for your vehicle.

Interesting.....I have personally put my old AT drain plug from a 94 Maxima into my 99 and verce visa ( ) just to make sure these were interchangeable.

Re: at drain plug

It was my mistake. The part number drain plug I posted goes on the side of the tranny. It thought the drain plug I was buying was for the bottom drain. Either way it works and the car runs great. Use synthetic Mobil 1!!
