I just tried out my new set of Nitto drag radials today at an autocross, and they were GREAT. I could not believe how great they were around the corners. I admit, they are a little spongy but more pressure took care of that. I can launch my car at 4K with a little spin. On street tires, I can only manage 3K without breaking the tires loose. To compare my times, I got a 48.7 time compared to my buddy's Corvette (A-Sotck) of 47.7. They all thought I had a supercharger because they couldn't beleive my Max could run that fast.

Depends on how much pressure you put in them. I am currently using 46psi in front and 42psi in rear. This took care of the side walls folding over. Previously I had them at 40psi and 36psi, respectively. For drag racing, you would probably just use 25psi for the fronts. I've used BF Goodrich Comp TA R1s (best by far but no longer made) and Yokohama autocross tires (forgot name) and these are pretty competitive, especially with the Yoks.

i ran a set of nitto's last year for drag racing and didn't like them too much, but maybe its because you really have to get those puppies warmed-up really good to get traction
