Hi, I have a 1997 maxima SE. I'm getting a grinding noise
from the front passenger tire area. Mechanic says it is
worn bearings that need replacement. He quoted a price of
$205.00. Extra if there is more damage like to the rotor??
Is this a good price?
Any info. is appreciated. Thanks.

similar problem

I had the same problem with my passenger side bearings as well.. ever since 45k miles it made a slight grinding noise and it got worse and worse.. until it was really really bad.. after taking it to the dealership like 4 times, i switched to another dealership and they tore it apart and told me it was the bearings.. i kinda already figured so, but the other dealership was run by a buncha cockamanie psychos.. anyhow, it was covered by our 60k warranty, so they replaced em for free for me.. i lucked out that time.. i had like 58,900 miles at the time they finally fixed it. Hope that helps a smidge.
