If I only knew 2 years ago what I know right now, I would have spent a lot less money on my car with all the trial and error process involved in modifications.

One good thing though is that one can learn quite a lot through mistakes... especially if one makes quite a number of them. But having a highly adjustable suspension setup makes the learning process quicker too.

I'm fairly happy now the way the car drives.

So let's put it this way --
For my car and my tastes -- What it would have cost to "do it right" the first time out: $7500 including suspension, tires, wheels, powertrain, stereo, and labor.
Cost of mistakes: -- about another $3000.

Biggest mistake of all?? That would be rapidly buying parts from a tuner company (Stillen) without proper experience and education of the pros and cons of their setups... basically putting too much "newbie faith" in a "tuner company"...

I'd say right around 5 grand. i'm too lazy to do the breakdown though. by may it will be almost 10, between the 5-spd conversion, a cat-back, extrude hone intake, and drag radials, and the winter tires i have to buy in a couple months.

Stillen V1 SC:$1000

Well the grand total of what I spent on it is $11,300. I took possession of my car on June 13th. All the matinence things were paid for by my father. This summer was expensive. Hope it never happens again.

Kirk

P.S. Yes, it was worth every penny.
Keep in mind not all of these are installed yet, but all have been paid for.

Not a typo. It helps to know people who own performance shops It is for sale by the way. Best offer right now for it is $1875. It is still in the box and is brand new. Care to make an offer?

I would say about $800.00 but that was my tries and Redline fluid and a few other things. I have only had the car a few days over a month though.
