Hey my friend has a new TL type S and he wants to race. I rode in it and it is pretty fast, and I think whoever would win it would be pretty close. His car does have 260 HP, but I think that I might have a chance, cause my car certainly is no slouch. Anyone with a 5spd race one? How did it go? I think I might take him off the line but I might get beat top end.

Run him out of a light, if you get a good launch, you'll CRUSH him in first gear, and he'll never catch up. If you run him from a roll above 40 it's going to be VERY hard to pull on him without a y-pipe. My friend has one and I pull HARD out of a light, but if we do it from a roll, I have a hard time pulling. I pull VERY slowly, but once we hit about a buck twenty, it's over for the Acura.

Yea...I've raced them at the track(on a crappy day) when was running 14.8-14.9 a stock CL-S was runnning 15.4-15.5 and a MODDED CL-S (intake, comptech headers, R/T cat, comptech catback) was running 15.0-15.1. With MaxedOut97SE's intake and cat-back he should be able to run 15.1-15.2 on a realitively bad day. with a good lauch he should easily take a CL-S

Hell, when I was completely STOCK....with bald tires I was DEAD even with my buddies Cl-S to 100 mph when we stopped racing.(I even had a horrible launch...lots of wheel spin)

Well I'm just guessing here, but the difference between a CL 6spd and 5spd auto probably wont be too great. The auto makes near perfect redline shifts, its a really good auto. I'd be guessing 5.9 or 6.0 0-60s
