For some reason, even after all my mods my car doesn't feel any quicker at all. It DOES have less power down low and more power up high but overall it doesn't feel faster. She is a high-mileage car (114k), but she has been maintained religiously since she was new (I have all of the records). I just replaced the fuel filter today in the hopes that that might solve it, but to no avail. Any suggestions at all? Thx

mabye you are just used to your current modifications.....like being a drug addict..after doing 5 grams of coke per day for a year straight...it just doesn't get the job done anymore...

sometimes i feel that my car isn't that peppy, but if i do not drive it for a couple days and get in, it feels great.

how long have you had your current setup?

He's exactly right.

I've used to think "man is my max gettin sluggish ?"

Then I don't drive it for a day. MAN has it got power !! I just get used to it's awesome torque. Especially in the mournings from a cool start...MmMmMmMmMmMmMmMmmM....power.

BTW, Those mods should give you low end power, too !? Unless your running the 3" Piping.

I've had my current setup for about a month, the Y-pipe was the last thing I added. So yeah you might be partially right.
But even when I drove the car right after installing stuff, I felt no real boost in power, even w/ the Y-pipe.

this may sound painfully obvious, but have you checked for exhaust leaks?

I checked to see if anything was leaking during the Y-pipe install; would I be able to hear a leak in the exhaust?

Yea really. I don't know about you, sleeper, but with those mods I'd be FASTER low through high end range. Not slower !!!

Try engine clean

At round 90,000 I had the same experience. In addition to change out fuel filter you may want to have one of the those exhaust system cleaning like they offer at Jiffy Lube for about 50 dollars where they run some type of cleaning element from the manifold to the tail pipe if I remember correctly and have a real engine cleaning which ran me 90 dollars at Precision Tune, I know they have kits that allow you to do it yourself, but I had it done since they gave me my oil change that usually runs 50 if I don't do myself for free (synthetic). After getting these two things done it really brought the ol' girl back to life.
