Here it is folks:

The camera didn't get the true deep blue color of the dash though. I'm getting mine in red.

Vee-Dubs ... eat your heart out... you ain't the only ones with cool gauges anymore.

yeah, there was that other thread, but we should post again about where you can buy them. Isn't someone trying to find the place that the local shop buys 'em from?

Those look real good! Especially with the GloNeedles.

hey CLEE thanks for taking the pics last night. Too bad the cops had to ruin the night, but there is always tonight
I really wanted to see that 94 turbo civic race that Subaru.

As for my gauges, ALL i have is the LED blue 194's. From the pic it looks like indiglo, but its not. You still cant really tell how they look at night unless you see them in person. Like i said earlier in my post they illuminate just as dark as the new VW gauges(deep blue and very evenly)

Ill know by monday where my shop gets them from.

thanks again Calvin, you da man!!

Places to get LED #194s

I found a couple of website that sell #194 LEDs.

LED 194 Amber:
http://store.yahoo.com/streetbeatcu...d194ambule.html

LED 194 Red:
http://store.yahoo.com/streetbeatcu...dbul.html

Also these:
http://www.ppsonline.net/light.htm
and
http://www.graphicartmotodesign.com...es/products.htm

I'm ordering red next week.

Ravq: There are five main lights that light up the gauge cluster. And they are all #194s.

Kashoggio: LEDs should last a while, but some of the "newer" color LEDs like green and purple might have less life than "older" color LEDs like red and white.

97-99

this can not be done.....i repeat, this can not be done. we use a tiny jap buln that they don't make in diff colors. they are half the size of the 194. maybe smaller. i bit bigger than a led

The '95-'97s have CLEAR needles, so whatever color illuminates the dash is the color of the needle.

That means there is no need to get Intelliglow needles.

let me clear that up a bit. i have a 97 se these models come stock with the white face gauges and the needles are red.so in my case i would need the blue needles.by the way i thought the bulbs behind the gauges are the 194 . are these same ones the light below the corner light uses.is this correct? i may be wrong.

Not really sure about them being brighter than the xeon bulbs cause I haven't really seen some in person.

But putting in 18w 168 is dangerous. You could melt something in your gauge cluster.

Wow, those look really nice. I'd like to know where you purchased them from and for how much. I recently spend $70 on 168 PIAA Plasma Blue Bulbs for my gauge after getting a SE cluster gauge. It turned out to look pink with a very slight hint of blue at direct light. I was really sad that after spending so much it turned out to be garbage. Now i have no use for these PIAA blubs and have no clue on what to do. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

ATTENTION everyone! i have recently pulled out my led gauge lights due to multiple problems with the bulbs themselves. First last week i had the speedo light flickering on me as well as the temp bulb. And now last night now its the tach bulb flickering and dimming by itself. So i pulled them out and installed the good old STOCK bulbs, lol. Now i have 2 bulbs that work fine so i put them in my door lights.
So now when i get some extra cash ill be some hyper whites or a different brand LED bulb.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Doh!

Still dont' know which brand LED they were, huh? Cause I'm wondering if it was just that brand or just the 194 LEDs in general.
