I have a 96 Maxima automatic. It's just doesn't have the go anymore. My other car is an Acura TL and it blows my Nissan away. The cars both have similar 0 to 60 times so something has to be up with the Nissan. It has 70K miles on it. I just changed the plugs and air filter but no difference in perfomance. It doesn't seem to have and where near the power I remember when it was new. There isn't that much go from off the line and it doesn't seem to pull as hard when the rpm's come up. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Like he said, the throttle cable could be loose, you could have a clogged or leaking exhaust, you could have leaky valves, the fuel filter could be clogged, one of your igniton coils could not be firing all the time, you could have an intake leak, etc. You ned to be a little more specific.

Also, replace your fuel filter.

Hmmmm..... BTW, he did say that he changed the air filter and the plugs. Did you put the NGK platinums in? Please tell me that you aren't using copper ones. Please.
