I am looking forward to replace my worn front struts. How much would a pair of KYB GR-2 front struts cost? Does anyone know places (on-line or off) that sell them at a good price? Thanks a lot.

The cheapest I have seen them is at TireRack.

http://www.tirerack.com

They have the front for $144 (front right & left) and $116 for both rears.

Thanks very much for the info. I will look into it. BTW, I see that they also sell the strut mounts. Is it a good idea to replace those at 86K miles?

It depends on where you have driven your car. Personally I would replace at 86K miles for I live in Chicago and my car goes through extreme winters, salt and other metal eating conditions. On the other hand, if you live in California or Texas and El Nino did not touch your car, you should be fine.
