I raced my friend with the CL type S. It wasn't a start from a stop race, we both started from about 20MPH. Well, I was ahead of him until about half way thru second gear. After that he pretty much walked me, although as we approached 85MPH the gap (1.5-2 car lengths) was slowly starting to close. We stopped at about 90, but I really think I might have (had) a chance against him going 100+. Also, I think if we would have started from a stop, I could have launched and killed him until about 65-70 cause my first gear kills his. I swear when we were going 25 and we both floored it, I was pullin' on him hard all the way thru first gear and thru second gear until about 5.5K RPMs. We are going to race again, both on the interstate and from a stop. I know his car is faster than mine but I am proud of my car for hangin' so well, I mean he has about a 50 hp advantage over me and he only had about 2 car lengths on me by 80. And his car is brand new and mine is 5 years old. Let me go get a 2002 with a 6 speed and then we'll see what the f@ck is up!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice run, CL-S is a pretty quick car-->
I've raced a couple in my car. (A6 2.7T). I've been on the track a few times with one (at Maxus) and one of them ran a 15.0. He had an intake and exhaust on his at the time.
They have good mid-high range power, although they don't seem to leap off the line with any alacrity.
I have a good friend with one, we've met on the streets a few times. With the A6, I own him. From a standstill, from a roll, doesn't matter. I'll put 4-5 cars on him from a 0-60 sprint, from 50-100 roll on, I'll put 2-3 cars on him. Apparently once rolling, they gather speed very well until the top of 3rd gear (according to him) once over the 100 mark, I was really beginning to open up a big lead.
If you meet one on the street/track. Get out of the hole as best you can. If you can put him behind from 0-30, you may be able to hold him off.
In a roll on,you'll need some more HP and TQ to keep ahead of him. Even with the auto transaxle, 260 hp is filtered down to about 208-210. Your VQ 5 spd with intake is probably putting about 175 to the wheels. You'd need a Y-pipe and possibly catback to keep up and/or beat him
