I was on the highway with my maxima gle..
and I was following Lexus IS300
I stepped on the gas but Lexus constantly increased speed and went farther ahead, and my maxima was just at the same point...
Is there that limit **** on the GLE too?
if there is.. anyway i can get rid or it?

I've easily gone over 130 MPH. Thje problem is that if you don't let your foot off the floor, the car will hold onto 3rd gear, which maxes out at 120. Let your foot off, then baby the throttle, then the car will go faster.

Ok, floor it until you get to the top of third (~120), at this point, the car WILL NOT shift out of 3rd unless you let up off the gas, so let go of the gas to about 1/2 throttle, let it shift, and then GENTLY start to SLOWLY floor it again.

Why is it that people say a 95 is the fastest? Is it true and if so why? Sexima I gotta agree though, gotta love them '98's.

They are about .1 seconds faster both 0-60 and in the 1/4, which isn't much. Why? Lower weights maybe?

faster?? huh here you go

got to say there is no speed limiter on the gle or SE. GXE have speed limiters which can be by passed. follow instructions on www.maximadriver.com the 95 maxima have fewer emission etc. More restrictions = less HP. i suggest getting a tranny cooler to make tranny last longer and Dons Valve body mod to make tranny shift faster. but yea, i gone 140 easily!!!!! also, the maxima may need a new fuel filter if it is not running to good. recommended at 60k, plugs at 30k, oil 3k, run some nos cleaner to clean out fuel injectors, all maximas need to get their trottle body cleaned out b/c its all sludgee. Use some carb cleaner or some 3 m spray to clean this... you can see this by pulling off the intake and stick a cloth to clean.. its a think black film of gunk due to nissans poor engine technology found on maxima and 300Z..

WTF are speed emissions? Do you mean emmissions controls?

Medic, my car shifts out of 3rd at WOT just fine. Never had to feather the trottle. It shifts out of third and almost immediately locks up the TC in 4th and just keeps going.

I don't have a trottle, what is it? BTW, are you going downhill when you try this? I have always either been on a flat road, or have been going uphill.

Do you mean the instruction to by pass the speed limit is on maximadriver.com. because i can't seem to find it. I have a GXE myself, and my car couldn't seem to pass 120mph.
