Intake + Ypipe or Greddy?

I agree with you guys. The Greddy is a lot of money and gives minimal if any gains. For the price you pay for the greddy you can buy both the ypipe and CAI.
After, the CAI and Ypipe get a b-pipe to complete the exhaust. That should yield you the best gains for the money for modifying your exhuast.

CAI and Y-pipe. It's what I have and it makes a difference. I've gotten a dyno of 165hp at the wheels with this setup and my car's an auto.
If using 25% loss to the wheels for an auto, I'm looking at 220 hp, which is 30hp over stock.
The exhaust won't increase the horsepower as much as the Y-pipe.
Question is: Do you want to sound faster? Or be faster?

as for me, loud is not cool. no sense tryin to make the car sound like something is isn't (a V8). plus i want to be able to hear my tunes!

I have a JWT intake and Greddy catback. I do not find it loud. There is a noise increase over stock, but that is what I wanted. The sound is very aggressive. I had a Cattman SS y-pipe and RT cat. Now that was loud. It absolutely roared with the Greddy catback. It was too loud for my comfort, so I sold the y-pipe.
As for gains, There might be some top end power (maybe5-8hp)I will no as soon I go to the dyno after my NOS is on.
