hey man
i got a couple questions about the trans swap. There are 4 connectors that plug to the tranny. These wont be used once the Manual trans goes in. Did you juss leave the connectors hanging there unplugged after the swap? thanks dude, i appreciate it...Later

Not harold but rather the other GUY
one of the plugs is the speed sensor...
that you can hook up again.
The plug w/ just 2 wires you need to join these wires.
The other 2 plugs we just left un done.
Actually we spliced the 8 wire plug into the manual plug.. so we could have reverse lights.

sorta.. harold set the lamp off when he pushed the OD button after the tranny was installed.. If you have the chance to swap harnesses do it.. Be prepared to swap ECU's though to make the lamp go off... Personally I think if you splice wires and rig the wire so it thinks the OD is on.. that will be good enough.

sorry Im too late
yes, but the results of splicing the wires are still debatable (to make the OD light go off..)
I finallly did it, and its still on - but I dont know, Im not at my car right now, and I never had enough time to test the stuff (its been at home the last two weeks..) but I get her this weekend ! then I'll be able to say

yea since im pulling the motor the wiring harness will be very easy to swap out. I have a custom programmed Turbo ECU and its from a 5speed so thats not a prob. The biggest thing why i dont want the swap the harness is because my AVC-R and AIC and AFC is hooked up into the wiring harness rite now. Big headaches to rewire all that crap. I know another person that has the 5 speed swap and he has check engine lights on...thats why i am worried.
