Maybe the post title misleaded you... but I want the free makeover. I've used all my money for engine mods, so now I'm working on some REALLY cheap cosmetic work. Yesterday I fixed the very crappy front license plate problem that Maxima's have (they look like crap. I was wondering what else I could do while Im cutting holes and such. I have a 96 gxe with a stock body, except for the hole I cut in the fog light area for my CAI. But what other kids of mods are there... stuff like taking the heat blanket out and stuff. Any way to drop some weight out of the trunk. There are a thousand areas this post could branch to... and I kinda need some help by this afternoon when I start to work on it.. so anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Grills

Some people do the grills on there car. Take a look for it on here like 3 dollar mods or something like that. It is not free but most people get it for about 2-4 dollars. Also search for Free mods. I think there were about 4 or five things on there as well.

Yeah, rewire the lights, swap the bulbs - they're cheap enough. Clear the tails. Floss the badging. Diamond clears are only bout $50.

Ebay

Get on ebay and bid on some super white 9004 headlight bulbs. You can win them for about 20 dollars. For free you can make your corner lights brighter. I just purchased clear corner from Custom Maxima.com and they look incredible. The Car looks mean.

Clear bumper lenses should be the first thing you get. Maybe try to make some custom mesh inserts like i did up front. Buy some hyper white bulbs for the corners, blinkers, side markers, headlights. Rewire
blinkers and fogs. Oh yeah shave all your emblems too!!

1996 maxima:
headlights: 9004
factory fogs: h3
side markers: 194 (push bulbs)
corner lights: 1157
blinkers up front: 1156
blinkers tails: 1156

Your car looks friggen sweet. I'm gonna check out your profile to see what mods you have, but damn please e-mail me them if you don't have them listed! Craigmack02@hotmail.com ...Grill looks a little Pontiacish but really aggressive and nice coupled with the Stillen front-lip..

...nice work...
