One of my rims is scratched up, the scratch is about an inch wide, two inches in length, and kind of deep. Anyway, I was wondering, should I just fix this rim to the original finish, or go ahead and powercoat all the rims while I'm at it? I was thinking either gunmetal or white. What do you think? Also, do I have to take the tires off the rims, or can I just leave them on, and let them take care of that? Thanks.

I wish constantly that I had gotten my wheels in the Black Opal color that Konig offers. (I also wish I had gotten 18s, and also that I hadn't gotten them at all because they suck.) Anyways, I think it depends. I like black/dark colored wheels. Most of the regular world doesn't. They think they look like black steelies or something. Depends who you want to please really, yourself or others around you.

I don't know if I would trust a powdercoating shop to take your tires off... I'd have it done at a wheel/tire shop.

The tires have to be removed from the wheels to refinish them.

And its really called black silver. It looks like chrome in direct sunlight, and very high gloss silver normally. The inside of the rim(behind the spokes) is polished black, hence black silver. I didn't forget about ya Nealoc187, my pics are supposed to be emailed to me this week so I can post them.

White powdercoat them all. Would look awesome with your black paint.
