Anyone ever replace the battery on the keyfob??
Has anyone ever replaced the battery on the keyfob that comes with a '99 Maxima GLE? It's the one that has a blue-ish half-circle button that locks the car, and the other three that unlock, set the alarm off, and open the trunk.
I think the battery is dying because it does not unlock the car. It de-arms it and rolls down the window, but it won't unlock the doors. It makes a funny vibrating noise, as if its trying to unlock the door, but the car won't let it. You can see the lock lever on the door vibrating a little. The lock button works tho.
Do you think that the battery is dead? Anyone else experience this? We have been using the original battery on the keyfob since June of '99 (when we bought the car).

The only problem that I have with mine is that you have to hold the lock button down as if setting off the alarm, but not long enough to set it off. I brought another battery from RadioShack(dumb idea) Thinking that the battery was dead and the remote still works the same. I also tried and reprogrammed it again, and it still does the same thing. I guess these dont work for too long
