i pull up to a stop light and this thug pulls up next to me in what looked like a 99 clk320. I knew he wanted to race just by the way he was looking at my car. It was on. The light turned green and i blazed him all the way 60 mph, he didn't stand a chance. i thought it was over and he learned his lesson but then I hear him approaching me from his lane so i downshift and floor it once again. He pulled on me and by the time we got to 80 he had 3/4 of a car length on me. I was not happy.

 

he really did not beat you, if you didnt let off you would of had him .

 

When you let off and he was closing on you, he was able to probably gain like probably 10mph on you. So by having that advantage, you would need to make up that 10mph to keep him from pulling any more on you. Then you will begin to start pulling on him. So it wasn't really fair race at the end there.

 

When one person stops racing the race is basicly over in my mind. I have friends which I raced before and then afterwards they were telling me how after they came up and blew by me. It is like " Yeah but by then I was in the first lane behind a dumptruck waiting for you" hehe. Or one kid who I went about 15 under waiting for him to catch up because he said he needed directions then speeds by me when I am in my Moms I-30 and I am like what the - thought he didnt know where he was going? We get there like 5 minutes later and jumps out of his cavalier yelling how he beat the I-30. Doesnt make sence to me.

That is why I flash those hazards. It is the universal signal that you are calling it off.

 

I was in Alex's car when the "Race" was taking place.....and even though he let off a bit, i still think that benz would have taken him one way or the other, he slept at the light and got a bad start. that car is more powerful than a maxima, and would spank me too.
