i got code 0304 and 0302 OXygen sensor price$

i got the 0304 code and i am also 100% sure that my sensors got to be changed.
my car is a 95 w original sensors i got about 95000 MILES
I know that the Knock sensor can be triggered by a faulty oxygen sensor in the front but how much are the sensors in the front gonna run me just so i have a figure in my head b4 i take it to the shop

as for the 0302, i got Y pipe installed about a week before i got the check engine..
0302 is the excessive or not enough exhaust ,, so im guessing there is basically a leak

also i have been with my original cat the whole time
possssible prob?
thnx

Have you checked the sticky? In order to test them, you will need a ohmmeter, which costs about 30 bucks.

Same problem here.

I want it fixed. But I'm broke. Actually debt is a better word.

I just changed my front O2 sensor a few days ago. I picked one up from the dealer for about $82 dollars. I was able to do it myself without much trouble. The dealership wanted an arm and a leg to install it. Since then I've noticed a definite change in performance.

i don't know about 4th gens, but on my 3rd gen it's a 2 minute thing.. you can see the O2 sensor sticking out from the passanger side front door, under the car. it's a small plug thing with a wire attached to it... o2 sensor screws in, and the wire connector is a simple plug that snaps in with your hands. Again, this was the case on 3rd gens... 4th gens have 2 o2 sensors? downstream and an upstream. I'm sure it's not that much more complex, if it's complex at all...

Most 4Gen Maximas have three Oxygen Sensors. There are two "front" Oxygen Sensors, one mounted in each branch of the Y-pipe. There is one "rear" sensor mounted just downstream of the Catalytic Converter. The Engine Control Module (the computer) uses the signals from the two front sensors to control the fuel mixture. When the front sensors are operating normally the rear sensor is used only to monitor the performance of the Catalytic Converter.

It took me about 10 minutes. I just used a crescent wrench, it's a little tricky to get to it though.
