Racing the Ra***a Again

Ok some of you might remember my post about the Honda Ra***a I was racing last week and how I was doing neutral drops to whip hois ***. Well, I stopped doing that. Anyway last nite my 95 auto seemed to be going really well and I could leave him in the dust on rolling starts and get a car length on him from aa standing start. Anyway, this guy was getting really agro and threattning me etc. He started following me around so I tried to lose him. By this time it was teeming down with rain so I was being a bit cautious ( the 15" biscuits and stock 205 are a bit tired so dont go that well on slick roads). We come down this hill and theres a quite sharp corner at the bottom and a flood bank. I slow and get a bit of understeer but get round no dramas. The Ra***a on the other hand screams down this hill, got major major understeer and slams into this concrete and steel steps and totals the front of his car. Damn! Him and his friend were fin though, but the car is pretty ugly right now. Stupid people doing stupid things. I guess Im one of them because I shouldn't have been racing. Glad it asn't me though.

He was pretty slutted off. we kept going for a start then stopped to decide what to do since we knew thryer ok when they both got out. We went back but parked car up the street incase he gets agro and lashes out at my car. But he was cool about it. We helped him get his car unstuck and called his uncle for him. I gave him my phone number so if insurance gives him ****, I can say that he wasnt doing anything wrong and he just lost control. I still feel a wee bit bad though. A bitof a **** of a way to end the night ( or start the day since it was 4.30am. No cops involved though or we all probably would have gone for a skate.

From the RT cat I ran 3" pipe to a 3" "turbo tube" which acts like a resonator to take the "ricyness" out of the exhaust note. From that I ran more 3" pipe to a V-Force Camero muffler. The muffler is situated so that it is in the stock position. By this I mean that the inlet is facing the front of the car and there is also an exit to the muffler facing the front of the car and an exit facing the rear of the car. From the rear facing exit I ran 2.25" pipe out the stock hole in the bumper with a 3.5" tip. The front facing exit I ran 2.5" pipe around the spare tire compartment and out the other side of the bumper where I had cut a symetrical hole, it also has a 3.5" tip. I went with different sized pipe from the muffler to have the exhaust sound the same from each side...and it does. Lost some low end power due to the 3" pipe, but gained LOTS of top end power. Should help out with my SC too when I get that installed.

Thats exactly how I did it...went to a shop and had them custom bend the pipes. Take note that if you run 3" pipe you will lose some low end power, but after 3500 you will feel like a turbo kicked in.
