HVAC fan having issues
HVAC fan having issues
Hello all-
My HVAC (isn't that the correct acronym for that?) fan started to blow at a lower rate than usual. I ignored it, cause it would just fix itself right? Anyway. Today I did some running around and when I got back into the car, the fan wasn't working at all. I could press the AC button on and off and hear the "clunk" under the hood, so I am assuming the compressor still works. I know it's not a fuse (read on why). So, I got agitated with it, turned it to 4 (nothing happened), so I decided to leave it there. Well, I continued on my way, with the window down on a warm muggy Texas day. I was driving along and noticed that there was cold air...woo hoo the fan came back on. Once I rolled up the windows I noticed that the fan was acting very weird. It seemed to me that it was having trouble blowing. The rate of air would go very high, then slow down, high, slower etc. Well...it's still doing this. Any ideas on what's going on with the fan? Why did it stop, and then start all of the sudden, but only fairly well.
I have an extended warranty on the car, so fixing it should be no problem (I hope), but I was just wondering what the problem might be.
