Finally Lowered...

Hey, just got my max lowered with KYBs and Progress Tech springs (cut 1/4 coil to make 2" drop). I havent gone over any speed bumps yet but they ride REALLY nice. And just one question...I just installed them today, will the shocks settle a little and get a bit lower?
Thanks

Can struts settle? Or just springs? Or both? I was thinking just springs.

40 profile tire on 16

whats the purpose of getting 40 profile tires on 16" rims?i always thought you would go smaller profile with a larger rim like 18" or 19"

that would kinda defeat the purpose of lowering it for cosmetic reasons wouldn't it???

then you would have your wheel/fender gap back....

is it me..or is the back a tad lower than the front?

What did you use to cut your springs?

Yeah, the springs are supposed to be 1.7" front and 1.5" stock. I think since the coils in the back are smaller diameter than the fronts, the quarter coil they chopped dropped the rear more? *shrug*

Im not sure what was used to cut the coils, I had them installed at a shop...probably just a hacksaw

I'll eventually get the front lowered a little more...Im not too big on the rear sag, especially when I dont even have a system yet...

springs usually settle just a lil. As for tokico struts they can make the car sit lower.

why did you only cut the rear?? i would have taken a 1/2 coil on the front to make it somewhat even.

im thinking of cutting my h&r to get that tucked look, my car still IMHO looks like stock. and now with my entire system out its even higher in the back
well see what happens i guess...

[/

QUOTE]yes it does look like the back sits a little lower.by the way if i were to buy tires for the stock se rims i would stay with the same profile ie, 55 0r 50 i forget.

Really smooth, yet slightly firmer than stock. It handles like a dream now!
Sadly I scraped the lower front bumper a bit already because i forgot my car sits lower than the curb now *doh*...guess i need a bodykit now to cover that up :P
