Hey maxima folk,

Been reading a while about the ECU from UPRD...man sounds pretty awesome...anyone order one already?

I have also been looking at the cattman y-pipe.

so....20 hp for the pipe, 30 for the chip, 10 for the exhaust/intake.

So that means we could be running a maxima with 250 horsepower?

By the way..I have a 1996. Comments? Suggestions?

thanks.

Thats kinda steep for the hp, but maybe under certain circumstances.

yeah...but those numbers are what everyone is reporting....

$1,000 for 50 hp...not too bad if all the claims are true.

Big time correction.....

Intake and exhaust should net you 10hp...so that part is correct.

y-pipe will only give an additional 10hp MAX on top of the other stuff.

Chip should gain around 10hp all high end.

So figure more like 220hp...and you really can't just add numbers cuz some mods work together to give diffent numbers.

Case in point. The guy on the 5th gen board just dynoed his 2k 5sp before and after his Cold air intake and y pipe. He got 13hp more to the wheels after the 2 mods. Thats far from 20hp for the pipe like in your earlier post.

BTW: 13hp to the wheels is still pretty damn impressive. Makes the roadkills all the more easier.

Yeah but ssy was talkin about at the crank cause 60 more on the stock crank ho is 250. In reality you add maybe 25 hp off that at the wheels, which raises the stock 151hp at the wheels to 176 which is respectable. So it might be higher than 220, but your right definetly not 250.

Claim numbers doesn't mean anything until it's dynoed and proven; kinda like how they proved the UPRD did add around 15-20hp to the wheels.

so i guess it comes down to putting all the parts together, and then a dyno run to see what the actual gains are, huh?

People have been saying that the y-pipe is something that we can really feel.

I guess with the chip and the y pipe, the 4th gen would still be pretty damn quick, regardless of actual HP gains.

you guys thinking about getting the ECU?
