BTW what wheels are you thinking of?

hmm.
Ok...
First # is the width of the tire, how much surface it touches
Second # is the height of the sidewall. plays the biggest role in the proper turning diamter of the wheel/tire, so if this # is wrong, speedometer will be affected.
3rd # is the inside diamter of the tire, basically what size rim it sits on.
For a 8" width rim, reccomended tire would be 235, but 245 would fit as well.. For a 7.5" 225 is reccomended, but 235 will fit. For a 7", 215 is probably best but 225 would fit too.... Now, On any of these rims, a tire 20 points wider would probably fit as well, like stock 2k SE rims are 7" wide and come wtih 225s, although usually 215 is the right size, 235s have been put on the stock 17s too....

oh yeah, and 35 is too thin for the Max on a 18" rim, like Micah said. 40 would be correct.
And another thing about the wheel+tire combos... It is more convenient to buy the wheels and tires from 1 place together because they will be mounted and balanced for you already when you get them, and it would cost less to ship them together rather then ordering rims from 1 place and then tires from another. But be careful and make sure you get proper size tires and make sure they are GOOD tires. A lot of places such as www.wheelmax.com have a tendancy to offer wheel/tire combos with tires too thin or just too ****ty in quality. 18 X 7.5" rims need 225/40/18 tires, or 235/40/18.

So, 245/40/18's would work with my Konig Verdict 18"x8"'s? I wanted to get the biggest tire that would fit and not rub or affect the speedo. Also, I thought that the 245's would fill in the wheel well a little bit. I thought 235 was the biggest, are you sure 245 will fit?

hmmmmm, I will NOT say I am 100% positive, but following the trend, people put 235 tires on 7" wheels, so if the rim was 1 inch wider, why can't a tire with the next size fit? I'm pretty sure they will fit, however, rubbing may be another problem... It depends on the off set. The smaller the offset the more the wheel will stick out (i think), so the more it sticks out the bigger the clearence from the strut is for the tire sidewall.... I think 235 is more than enough tire though...
