I just saw the weirdest race

Thought I'd share this with you all.

Last night coming home I was witness to one of the oddest drag
races that I've seen... Check this out.

Lined up in lane 1 was an old school Ford Bronco.
Lined up in land 2 was some old school Chevy Blazer or something like that.
Lind up in lane 1 behind the Bronco was a newer Dodge minivan.

And i'm in lane 2 behind the Chevy just watching it all.

Light turns green and both trucks "take off". It was a dead heat and half way down the road the driver in the minivan decides he wants some action and then he pulls out into the center divide lane and overtakes both of them.

I'd never thought I'd see the day when people in Ford Broncos and mivivans would be racing. Scary.

Some of the older Dodge minivans were turbo'd. Typical turbo mods made them fast. There was an article in Car Craft about a 84 Dodge minivan turbo running low 13's and high 12's.

Hey, not trying to go against the man, or anything, but what happened to the "If you don't like it, don't read it," philosophy??

Each Maxima.Org member chooses to visit the 3rd Gen, 4th Gen, 5th Gen forum, the General Maxima Discussion forum or perhaps the Off Topic forum. When you choose which forum to visit you have a reasonable expectation of what topics will be found there.

When you post a message there is an obligation to make it pertinent to that particular forum. This is done to benefit all members. Complying with these rules is a courtesy to all other members and enforcement is mostly on the honor system.

[soapbox]

There will always be people who think the rules don't apply to them. What kind of people ignore the rules? Litterbugs. Smart-alecks who cut into line at the movie theater. Cretins who use a public toilet and don't flush. Vandals who maliciously "key" your car because it is so much nicer than theirs.

Rules, large and small, are the basis of civilization. If it weren't for rules we might as well still be living with the chimpanzees, swinging from tree limbs and flinging feces at each other.

But... I like flinging feces! You think it's easy? It takes good hand-eye coordination!
