is new muffler necessary...

my friend was saying that without a new exhaust...mods like y pipe and cat would be useless...does changing the stock muffler really make that much a difference..

If you get the stillen muffler, you still need a B-pipe.

the stock muffler is not that restrictive at all. a full cat-back is worth maybe 5-8hp while a y is worth 12-15

just the muffler alone is not going to do anything. Its more of a cosmetic/sound mod really.
