The Greddy Catback is absolutely a beautiful peice when you take it out of the box. It come with everything you need, even gaskets. I ordered mine from Stillen as my first mod for my 98 SE auto. The 2.5 inch piping is coated with a gun metal colored covering and the muffler and large tip are SS. Installation is do-able by a Do-It-Yourself mechanic, but make sure you have metric tools. I took mine to a shop because some of the bolts were to rusted solid.
The performance of 5-8 hp may be there and it may not. With my intake (JWT) there is a gain in power after 3000 RPM, but I do not know if it is do at all to the catback system. Over all I love this product. It looks killer, and sound better. Under normal, everyday driving, I do not even know it is there. The only draw back to having an auto its a slight drone between 2200 and 2600 rpm. With a y-pipe, the Greddy Catback roars. Expect massive exhaust noise levels. It was too much for me. I sold the y-pipe to keep the Greddy's natural aggressive growl. You will love this.

It doesn't matter if it's auto or manual; the exhaust will have the resonance at 2000-3000 rpm. The benefit of having a manual is that you have more control of your gears so you can stay in a higher gear and keep the revs up.
