Tire Question

I have 225/50r17 michelin mxm4 on my max.My question is that i want to go with a 235/45r17 and the width is 17x8.But on the 225/50 it rides so smooth over potholes.I'am i going to see a diffrence in handling and is it going to stiffer.I dont want to loose my ride comfort driving in the city.THANKS IN ADVANCE soon will have pictures of my car.

You probably won't notice any change in comfort since it's not that drastic of a change.

Thats not even a 7mm difference in profile, which is like half the width of your pinky finger. It wont make hardly any difference
