DIYers- who works in a garage?
I have officially commenced my transmission/clutch/differential job today. But first I had to clean out my parent's garage. Dear lord, I worked for 3 days on the garage and it is still not totally done. If anybody here can understand, there was so much trash and miscellaneous stuff I coulda probably tossed them all and my parents would have never even known. I found license tags from my parents' old 1978 VW Rabbit and Buick Skylark! Its only a 2 car garage with a space for a tractor so its not huge either. In empty cardboard boxes alone, I filled up an entire Nissan Quest AND a 10x7 foot open bed trailer. I cant wait to see what the load is gonna be like when I go to the dump. I found 2 useless microwaves, TV's BETAMAX VCR's and a boat load of other junk.
Anyway I'm used to working out on the driveway. Fortunately, anybody who lives in the midatlantic knows we are blessed with great spring like weather right now. I just removed my Y pipe to send back to AZ to get the cat flange rotated. Wow, its great working where there is no wind, controlled lighting and temperture, and best of all I can work pretty much whenever I feel like. I also don't have tools or car parts rolling down the hill to get lost in the street.
This is a long term projects, and I havent even received most of the parts yet. I got the differential, clutch, FSM on the way and after that I'll still need parts for the differential job. Anyway, wish me luck. You may hear from me quite often on here.

Lucky you that you have a garage to work with your max, as for me I just have a lousy parking spot in the basement of my co-op building so no chance for me to to keep tools. NYC is pretty growded place
