Will I need new struts???

I want to lower my car pretty soon, and I am on a budget. My question was, if I get some B&G springs, would I need to replace my stock struts? My car is a 97 with 106k miles on it, and I'm not really sure if they have been replaced or not before.

Don't change your struts, you will be happy in the long run.

Springs without Struts...

I have had Sprints on (2" drop) with O.E.M. struts for 2 months (2k+ miles) now. No problems at all. No creaks. No leaks. No pulling ro one side. Nothing. However I only had 52k miles on the car when I put them on. With 100k+ miles I would reccomend changing them, but who knows -- the Maxima lasts 100s of thousands of miles and maybe you won't need them at all! If you can get them installed for free (or really cheap) go ahead and put them on. Just make sure the car drives safely.

Change em.

No need to get the car aligned twice in 1 week.
