What is the Peak Power of a 4th Gen Maxima? What RPM is it at...
Is that where you want to shift, or do you just ride the redline?

Some people over rev their cars to get into a sweeter power band in the next gear. I don't know where the peak power is, I guess youll have to see a dyno sheet. Personally, I have an auto and I go right to the redline because the Japan Cefiro have a variable intake whish gives a lot more power at hig revs ie 5.5 - 7k rpm. I do this by manually shifting the gears. It seems to work.

I will keep a close eye on this topic. Its been discussed before but Its one of the more interesting ones.

I read that whole thread, but I think I can feel my car pull steadily and hard till the red. Also, launches... I've been launching around 3k, it has worked ok for me with out too much will spin, but I was wonder what experiences anyone has had with higher rpm launches... I have 17" rims... heavy ones, so with that in mind please help
