Lowering Springs noise problem

Hey guys:

Check out this thread:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=68774

It is about the spring noise problem when you turn your steering wheel on H&R Lowering springs.

I know a lot of people are running lowering springs, different makes and lowering heights. Anyone have such "noise" problems. I would like to think this is H&R specific or maybe Sprints, Eibachs & B+G Springs also have similar issues...

please share your thoughts guys.

As the author of that thread, I'll give a quick update. I did the hose around the coil mod 2 days ago. 1/2 inch reinforced shop air line hose, blue to match the H&Rs as well. The springs are nice and quiet now. No noise at all turning the wheels.

Do you know if a LOT of people with 4th gen have had such or similar problems with their H&R's? Or was yours a unique case?

If you were to start all over again, would you buy H&R springs? If not, what would you buy?

Yes there are a lot of org members who experience noise when they install lowering springs. I don't think it's isolated to just H&Rs

Yes I'd buy H&R springs, I think they give the best combination of ride comfort and performance. However, I would attack the installation at a very different angle knowing now what I know.

My friend with a '95 has sprint springs and has a lot of noise...if you see the other noise thread, that has 2 fixes for noise. Either vinyl or wire cover will work.

Does ANYONE make springs that DO NOT make these "noises"?
Why can't one have the right to drive a "QUIET" lowered car?
