Auto Off Headlights?
Hi, is there any way to make the headlights shut off after a certain amount of time after the car is turned off? Also, I have strobes in my clearance lights and i was wondering if the would kill the battery if i left them on for like 3 or 4 hours? Thanks in advance

In my 92 Diamante, you could keep the headlights on, shut off the car, and as soon as you pull the door release handle to open your door, the lights would shut off immediately. That was a nice trick, even my '89 Camry did that.

there is a way to wire them like that. It would require getting the wiring diagram for the headlight system. So instead of powering up the headlights from a constant wire(battery) you would wire them to an ignition wire, that way they would ony work with the key in the igniton(turned on) and shut off once you take the key out.
Under the hood is where all the relays would be the one for the headlights. Figure out the constant input wire with a test light and run it to an ignition wire, for example to your wipers or power mirrors relay.
hope this helps!

Re: Auto Off Headlights?
Probably ... unless you get an Optima battery.
