You probably can't... it's dependent on the unit... My old Sony MD stuck out too... My new Kenwood MP3 is flush...

When you installed it, you had to screw the HU into the brackets, remember? You could try to redrill the holes but I won't recommend it.

Agreed. I have the DEH-P8200 and it sticks out a little too. It's just the way that the stereo mounts in the stock brackets. You're lucky, you should see the Camaro / F-Bird. They stick out 2 or 3 inches sometimes!

I have mine behind the console, so the front of the head unit is perfectly flush with the rest of the dash. I can't even imagine how you have it installed that it's sticking an inch out.

My face sticks out 1/4 to 1/2 an inch. I used the stock mounting holes. I'll post a pic if you want so you can see. Just the size of the head unit. All the pioneers are like that.

Yeah post a pic of it. I'll take a pic of mine up close so you can see what I mean. I've never had a Pioneer in this car, but I've had them in other cars with no problem. DIN size is DIN size, I' wouldn't think the faceplate sizes would differ much.

The width and height are the same, but the depth can be different. That's what makes it stick out. Give me a day or so to get the pic up.

I don't think it is possible unless you drill new holes. The guy at best buy told me that the way you have it would be the best way.
