Help with CAI Pleasee

i am new with performance work(concentrated on appearnce) and dont know what way to go as far as companies to choose from for my CAI...any suggestions, i need it to be affordable so the 200$ stillen is out...on carparts they had the intimidator i think it was for 53 and at local store here they had a reactive for 85...what are good brands for CAI and are either of these any good...please help thanks

well none of those you mentioned are CAI's...they are just high flow intakes...the only true CAI available is made by a company called Place Racing...check out http://www.placeracing.com for info and http://www.cattman.com has it the cheapest at $215...

So between the two?
Okay so what are the differences between high flow and cai and what is better ... is there a differnce between those two brands i just mentinosed the intimidator and the reactive?? which one should i get if i were to get one of the two?

ok Reactier makes a decent cone, it has a heat shield on it. They do sell a hose that hooks up to the end of the cone and can fit through the hole in the fender next to the battery. This is a decent CAI. I have the Place racing CAI. This works the best so far. I have had the stillen kit and reactive CAI all the same ****!! just give you noise and a little top end. Id go with the Reactive if you aint got the $$ for the place racing set up. Other wise go for the Place kit, its worth the money.

the ractive is not worth it IMO...it ruins the idea of 360 degree air flow with the heat shield...the shield constricts it too much...my buddy had one on his corolla and really didn't notice much performance wise so we customed a "true" CAI and gains were recognized..
