Foam Intakes...anything bad???
I've had an HKS intake on my car for over 2 years now with absolutely no problems with the filter becoming old and brittle. I'm sure some of you don't know that you are suppose change out the HKS filter elements ($11) every 5000 miles. It is near impossible to tear a HKS foam element with hand strength, so I doubt a VQ under WOT posseses enough vacumm to rip apart the element. Don't forget that there is a MAF screen to protect the engine and MAF wires.

Re: How big is the opening on the HKS?
I am not so sure you would want to do that, considering it is foam and I am not sure if any water gets into where the CAI is located.
If no water gets in there then I don't think you should have any problem mounting one to it.

I was curious as to whether or not it would fit on the end of a PR CAI. I have a Weapon-R filter on there now. I got rid of the K&N that came with it.
