sup peeps, i was reading in the group deals about the new agx and cattmann has a 97 ecu upgrade for his car from jim wolf? how did he get this i though they didnt make it for 97's and up?? i am stumped.

 

Your right, there is no company right now that makes modified ECU's for the 97 Maxima's and up. Brian has a modified 95/96 ECU in his 1997 Maxima. He just swapped his 97 ECU with the moddified one. I have a JWT ECU in my 97 maxima and its my favorite mod by far.

 

I just did the same thing, I own a 97 and swapped out the ECU for a 96 ECU from Jim Wolf, but I bought it from Cattman since he can get you better deals on the upgrades, especially for the NOS kit that you can get programed for it!! Oh Baby!!

 

Wasn't UPRD working on an ECU for the 97 using Chestons car for testing purposes? How much was the upgrade and do you think it is a worthwhile investment? Performance gains? Thanks.

I think UPRD is still developing the later ECU's. I'm running their '96 in my '97 with some increases. No dyno on it (too $$) but when I pulled it out I really missed it

 

Why did you pull the ecu out?
