Trunk Width please?

okay. i've been looking at new spoilers/wings for my car, and have run into a problem. what do i use for a basis of trunk width? from which points should i measure from, or do one of you have a length you can already give me? any help is appreciated. thanks a ton!

So....go measure how wide your trunk lid is...How hard can that be?

For some reason, I've always wanted to do that

but I never have. I can't decide on a spoiler. Stock look vs something more original.

well, of course it's not hard to measure the trunk. but as i said, are they talking about the edges, or where you'll mount the feet of it at?
