2:00 at night, highway stretch of about 3 miles striaght, friends scoped out the area before for any cops (they were also topping out there cars) brought the 97 SE max up to 140+ it went off the speedo(18 rims), kept the speed for about 5 sec till i soiled my pants, then brought the speed back down, then put on a new pair of pants. The wind made weird noises from road interaction and turbulent flow created by it.

 

I hit 131, but ran out of road. It was 6pm on Florida Turnpike, I had my friend in his 91 Corvette riding my bumper the whole time.

 

goin 136 top down a new highway(long, straight and smooth). A cop made a u'e and turned his lights on. I started to slow down, but he just turned his light off after a few seconds (met his match... the Maximizer). I would never run from cops, but he just stopped... so I didn't have to worry.

then I realize I live in Canada and the speedometer here is in km/h
, it still had plenty of pull left in third gear with 4ppl in the car. I won't be doing this again anytime soon,

the gauge says 140 but i was off the chart i'm thinking it was a little over 140. I have a stock 5-spd '97 i was racing a sc400, those things are speedy.

 

140 mph here with my roomate reading out the speed as i was too scared to look down.

The noise created by the wind and tires hitting expansion joints is very loud and scary and ohh yeah it takes two or more lane's to make a simple turn.

The fun thing is when you crest a hill at high speed's coz you'd better have your pilot's license at hand

 

That's an everyday speed for me. I typically hit 120 on average of 5 times a week with some sporadic 130s thrown in there every week or so, depending on traffic and how loud my music is. Fastest I ever took her was Maxed out 140+.

about 120 and damn it felt good

 

About 105 last weekend and that was with a bunch of luggage in the trunk. Had to slow down after I realized how fast I was going. . . Route 89 in Vermont at 9pm. . . worried about what may come out of the bushes up there, want my car to stay in one piece (and me for that matter!)!!!!!

 

i just went 130 today in my stock se with my friend in the passenger seat it was funy how quick it got there, it still had pull but we had to slow down to the highway patrol thats always out here in florida

 

Hit 115 or so tonight, and found out that my GXE does have a limiter. Its an interesting sensation to have smooth acceleration cut off by a sudden loss of power, especially at those speeds. I know what my next mod is now hehe.

 

137mph when the car was only 5k new.. now it can barely hit 125. =( plus i have 18" rims too.. so thats slowing me down like a mother.. anyhow it was fun.. but never gonna drive like that again.. too scary.. the things you do when you are young!

 

i hit 137 like a year ago and nothing higher afterwards...i had no mods
