99 max..Passenger side...air bag light remedies?
I had the air big light reset from the dealer...came back on after 1 month...went to T3 in atlanta..had it reset..came back after 2 months...told me its the passenger side airbag...
DDS switch thing doesn't work? is there any sane way to get rid of this without having the unit replaced?

I am sure this has been beaten like a dead horse - but mine was the cable/connector - whenever mine goes on its because somebody put their feet under the seat or some object... i just unplugged and replugged the connector - reset and the light is gone... doesnt come back...
the airbag reset procedure is also somewhere in the forum... i think its car off... turn on (not start), hit the driver door button 15ish times, close door and turn off car (not removing key) then start - but i could be wrong... i recommend you print it out and put it in your glove box just in case you forget it and it comes on again right before you have to drive your boss home

With the SRS you don't have many options.
remedy I would recommend:
- properly have the problem fixed for safety
- check connections
remedies I wouldn't recommend if connections are good:
- remove the bulb from the back of the gauge cluster
- remove the air bag completely and pull the bulb

yeah don't remove the air bag or disconnect it - just check the electrical and make sure it is good then reset...
dblock1 - try ebay or a performance store... or at-least hy-jack a thread which is on the same topic...

As said earlier, mine came on after I was cleaning my car....long story short it was the passenger side airbag. When I was vacuuming I must have knocked the plastic yellow harness loose and broke part of it. I snapped the remaining half back in, reset the light, and it has been gone since.

Thanks guys..lol..i know this has been beaten to death everywhere....but still it hasn't fixed my prob...
When the dealer reset the light..it dissappeared for a month.came back on...went to T3..the light went away for 2 months...something is telling me its NOT the actual air bag unit/airbags
where are the elec connections i can check to make sure they're tight...should i disconnect battery before re-tightening them?
i tried the 5 time door press button in 7 sec thing..changes the blinking interval on the air bag light...from fast blink.blink.blink... to blinnnnnk.blink.blink....blinkkkkkkkk...is that telling me something else?

It's not that the connection isn't tight, it just needs "reconnecting", so to speak.
There are four that should be addressed.
One under each front seat, and one each under the front seatback trim panels.
Disconnect & reconnect each one in order to get the best possible connection.
Reconnect the battery.
Finish.
