The "Administrator" is just a guy who works for the webhosting company, he's responsible for getting and keeping the forum up and running but not for the content. Until a 4th gen moderator gets around to fixing it, you can get around the problem like this.

Any links in the thread that you click and take you to a wrong thread, replaced the "showthread.php" portion of the link with "oldthread.php" keeping the rest of the link the same, and that will take you to the correct thread.


For example, the current "how to thread" is linked to this:

but the actual link to get to it is this

http://forums.maxima.org/oldthread.php?t=254238

I'd fix it myself but I'm not a moderator of this forum, regular moderators can only edit posts in the forum they moderate (for me, that's the Turbo/SC forum).

Wow I didn't think I would get this many responses to this post. I also did not mean to offend anyone, I just have to do some work to my Max this weekend and needed some info off that thread.
