I don't have any pictures. All I can tell you is that the silver area where the numbers are will come off with wear and sun in less then six months. I had to remove it completely since its chrome underneath.

thanks i agree, being unique is a good thing. i checked out that site, but i didn't see anything that would match with my tan interior (besides just black leather).

I am in the same situation you are, trying to find something unique that will go with my tan interior.

Here is one on E-bay with a pic that I was looking at, but now that I know about he numbers wearing off I will reconsider. What would these normally cost new anyway?

yeah, i not going to get the ae shifter since it won't last. i have wood dash kit so trying to match my shifter to the kit has been a real pain. i just ordered a burlwood shifter today that looks like it will match, but I'll just have to wait to see when it arrives. if it doesn't match, i'm going to get a momo shifter and boot--they match up nicely. also, i found a sweet lookin' momo ebrake handle and boot. so i'll prob get that too.

The problem with the AE shift **** is that it has a "matte finish" coating over it, making it look like adonized aluminum. The coating scratches fairly easily, and in time the **** starts to look rather sh*tty. I was planning on re-coating it with Krylon, to see how that would work, so I scratched off all of the matte coating (with my fingernail it was so easy!).

Well, after that I was left with a very cool looking chrome shift **** with leather surrounds. I was careful not to scratch off the numbers, so it looks really nice. I decided to keep it as it is.

thanks.. i noticed that you have a JT dash--have you visited the JT website?? they now sell wood shift *****--i think they are supposed to match their dash kits. it's hard to tell, but the burl shifter seems like it might match the burlwood dash kit.
