LED lighting in the gauges

What kind of bulb sizes are in the 1996 Maximas? I can't find info for it anywhere, I want to replace the old white bulbs and put in green leds to change things up a little bit and match it to my car. Any help is appreciated, and where is the best place to buy some bulbs? Thanks guys.

Go to the 4th gen page and click on the "interior sticky" then go to "how to make led needles" now you have more options on your color scheme

Just go to ebay and search the bulb size. They usually come in pairs when you buy em.

or you could buy just regular leds and solder them with resistors

Thanks for the prise

- this took maybe 3min to do. You can go with soldering but if you ever sell the car or change colors your up the creek

heres a link to an old thread about these

CDG, did you have to put clear needles on your guages, or are they the stock red/orange ones? I wouldn't think the blue shinning through the red would look right...

they could have been stock clear. if you have the black faces for the gauges the needle is clear where as if you have white gauge faces the needle is orange. (i think so, my black faces came with clear needles)

I havn't done my gauges. I havn't gotten around to it yet. Blue through red will not look good IMO either.

the 194 led bulbs arent that great. you'll have to get some sand paper and rough of the lens to get somewhat of a good light distribution. otherwise you get hot spots.
